The tip of the knife traced slowly down one cheek, and then the other, the cold metal one slice away from severing an artery, a vein. It traced along his lower lip, across his cheekbone, around an ear.

The knife trailed ever so lightly over his Adam's apple as he breathed, down his chest, the metal catching in the fabric of his shirt. When it reached the waist of his pants, it dragged back up, cold metal on skin again forcing a shiver from him.

Once upon a time, that knife was dangerous. He would've screamed at the feel of it against his skin, but now... now it was like the caress of an old flame, cool and sweet, the danger past.

Opening his eyes, he followed the progress of the brown eyes watching him. His shirt was gone, but it wasn't like he didn't have more. Air brushed against his chest, the knife a solid counterpoint.

"How does this feel?" the red-haired teenager asked above him, tracing a swirling design on his chest, alternating between the flat of the blade and the tip.

He stretched, his back arching, and watched with a kind of smug amusement as Shanks pulled the knife away instead of letting it carve into his skin. It wasn't like it would leave a mark.

"You're still squeamish." He smirked, bending his right leg until his foot was flat on the bed. He interlaced his fingers behind his head and stretched again, his eyes closing at the delicious pull of muscles, the kiss of metal against him.

"I don't want to hurt you," Shanks murmured, the knife still resting against Buggy's chest.

"As if you could." Buggy snorted. To prove his point, he used his right foot to gain leverage and force himself upwards, into the knife.

Watching Shanks' surprise -- that's the rush Buggy wanted.

...aslk';dk. I kind of - hate saying it about a fic with Buggy, but that was HOT. x_x Totally awesome idea, doing knife-kink with the man that can't be cut, and I love Shanks here, that "softness" that Buggy hates about him and that makes him great is very evident.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the fic, even if it had Buggy in it? *big brown eyes* As annoying as he is in canon, I actually kinda like him. The thought that he and Shanks experimented a bit after he discovered what his DF power did intrigues me. :D

I actually think he's kind of sexy because of the voice, if that's odd. I mean, he sounds like he smokes four packs a day, and will still knife you for $10. :D

The makeup can be conveniently left out when they're kids, because Buggy was very cute as a teenager. The nose, however, is kind of cute in its own way. *^^*

Dammit, I need a Buggy icon. Or a Buggy/Shanks one.

Not only is Buggy the guy who can't be cut by any kind of edged weapon and be injured, but he seems to revel in it, so I thought the idea would be interesting.

And, well, since I'm a Buggy/Shanks 'shipper (especially when they were teenagers on the Oro Jackson), well...

It's funny, because if you do a search on Pixiv for Buggy (I always have to use his wiki page to get the kanji to search with), there's always a couple of Buggy/Shanks pictures, but when you look for any fic, there's almost nothing around!

I know my own trouble is writing their personalities, so it would take some more time and exposure to both characters before I could really pin them down that well. *^^*

But yay for another Buggy/Shanks fan! We're few, but fierce! :D

When I first saw your post, I got curious and checked any unlocked entries on your LJ, so I'm glad I didn't jump into the "I has yaoi! Let me show you it!", which tends to be a reflex reaction of mine.

But yes, considering how much Buggy sneers and laughs whenever someone attacks him with an edged weapon, I can see him reveling in the fact that he can't be cut anymore as soon as he figures out what his Devil's Fruit power does. And considering that Shanks is a good guy, and he wouldn't want to hurt someone he considers a friend -- at least not in a permanent, debilitating way -- I figure that he'd have a problem with intentionally shoving a knife into Buggy, despite all evidence that Buggy can't be hurt that way anymore.

Heeee, it's fun to find another Buggy/Shanks 'shipper. And knife smut is especially interesting because, well, Buggy can't be hurt by them at all. *^^*

(I dunno about knife-smut with Zoro and Sanji, but then again, I wrote it for Buggy and Shanks, so never say never, I guess.)

Haha, that's okay! For a non-yaoi person, I actually read a lot of it (skipping the smutty bits and the straight romance) because a lot of yaoi writers have really awesome plot lines. Like the one where Zoro was eaten by the giant plant. Or where Sanji was caught cross-dressing (which was technically pre-yaoi). Or one where Sanji lost all his memories of Zoro. Stuff like that. Usually its pretty easy, unless they're jumping each others' bones every two seconds.

Yeah, I could totally see that. Hmm... Buggy the uneffective masochist and Shanks the unwilling sadist. Interesting. XP
