However, I have to agree with you about Ace getting roughed up over the past few chapters. Not only does he have to deal with the man he looks up to as a father-figure getting stabbed (multiple times, Jesus Christ!), but there's betrayals, his little brother coming to save his life, Jimbei getting into the mix, and all of the people in the Whitebeard pirates coming to his aid. He's just one man, and yet the full might of Whitebeard's armada is coming to rescue him. That's got to be humbling and quite terrifying -- "dear God, why are people starting a war just to save me?!"
