I love my trans-fandomy killer swans. And my workmates are sweethearts, even though they tend to fawn over me because I am the youngest there.
"Oh, dear" pretty much sums up the reality of being a Finn ;), though alcoholism and depression ceased to be compulsory to all citizens once we arrived at the 21. century. And it's nice to hear that I'm at least usually comprehensible, I haven't had much first-hand exposure to situations where I could have actively used English with a native speaker, I've been to Hastings for three days in 1999 when I didn't yet speak the language myself and I've once had a teacher who was from Michigan, and that's that. I've just changed my major from Finnish to English though (long story), which hopefully is going to improve the situation somewhat.
But good luck with the writing! I'm if possible even more interested than before.
