Not sure if you want to reread "Fair Trial", but there's a new scene added.
I have re-read the entire series three times!!! I literally pounced on re-reading Fair Trial for the new scene!!! So many thanks!!! I loved it!!! Thanks! It gives the second part continuity!!
And thanks for giving more background on the whole thing with Bob being in the Merlins possession TWICE!
"Funny that you should mention that, Merlin," Ebenezar spoke up, his voice suddenly loud enough to make me jerk back in my seat. "Weren't you yourself his guardian once upon a time? Once when his master had been killed, and again when you needed information from him about how to defeat a warlock?"
I had to super-cheer for Ebenezars putting the Merlin in momentarily check-mate!
But Mai had his skull once too!!! You evil person (in a very good way evil ;)) now I am yearning for more info about what transpired between these characters when they had Bobs skull in their possession!
Before I knew it, I was standing up and yelling in English, "Are you stupid, or is your head really that far up your ass?"
The Merlin looked like Christmas had just come early. "I'm sorry?" he asked. In Latin.
LOL!!! The "said in English-Latin" exchange was just so funny! :)
"Do you plan for him to forge his own chains, honored Merlin?" Listens-to-Wind asked mildly.
I want to hug your Joseph so much!!!
The Merlin shook his head. "You cannot be allowed to vote in this matter. It was due to your interference in Wizard Dresden's guardianship that the warlock is even alive in the first place, Ancient Mai."
This came as such an utter shock to me! It was irrational, because I had already had read your ending for this chapter and I knew Bob was going to still alive, but right now I just felt like "Oh NO! Now who will vote in favor of Bob!!!"!
But, something in Ancient Mai's eyes bothered me. I just wished I knew what it was.
I wish to know what this was, too!!!! ;)
This was just wonderful, thank you so much!!! And I still have to express my undying hope that this is going to go on!! ;) Or that more new scenes in this or the other chapters appear!!! ;)
