It shows that Murphy doesn't realize just how much Bob means to Harry. Yes, he's interacted with Harry and Bob separately concerning the other, but these could just be close friends, not father/son or lovers. Her brain wouldn't automatically think that they're dating, unlike Liz from TOD.
