Thank you for your comments, and I'm very glad that it worked for you. I liked the idea of Harry cleaning Bob's skull, and I figured it would be a bonding experience for the two of them so I ended up using it here to highlight it.
Bob's story was actually an unexpected addition that snuck in because I wanted to include it and have it foreshadow something for later in the series, and it seemed like a good spot to add it in. I'm especially glad that worked out for you, because I always end up thinking of backstory for Bob (the benefit of an enigmatic character, I guess), and I never know if it works until I try it out with an audience.
