This piece was important (at least in the TV-verse, since Justin's death was handled differently in the books) because the TV show never actually showed the aftermath of Justin's death. Just, Justin dies, Harry runs, and then Harry's okay, if not entirely the golden boy of the High Council.
Considering that Bob had kept the fact Justin had killed his father from him, I would've figured that Harry would have some serious trouble with Bob in general, and since this fic-verse has Harry falling for Bob when he was a teenager, those emotions are going to color his interactions with Bob. Something like this is going to hurt worse, and take more time to deal with, so it was important to include in the series. *^^*
