There were times when Ace thought she was flying instead of running.
He'd grab her hand, or hold out his brolly for her to cling to, and they would run, harder and faster than Ace thought possible. The Doctor was never tired, no matter how much he ran, but keeping up with him always left her dizzy, breathless. She was only human, after all.
She thought that there'd come a day when he'd push her too hard, ask for too much, and she wouldn't just fall down, but fly to pieces.
But he'd look at her, and she'd fly again.

Date: 2006-07-07 01:51 pm (UTC)I've been watching the stories with Six, and while it was really kind of like getting a bucket of ice water in the face, it's a shame that he wasn't on for a little longer, or at least given a better regeneration scene/story into Seven.
And dude, the Rani was so much cooler in The Mark of the Rani. Her neutrality in the whole, "OMG, STFU and go away before you two screw up my experiment," was just like, "Bzuh?" after seeing her in Time and the Rani.

huge chunk of gorgeousness that isColin Baker was deranged... [/whinge] They sacked him, you know, and then said "Oh, BTW, we'd like you to come back to do a regeneration story..." I personally think he was quite correct to tell them to naff off.I'm actually warming to Seven quite a lot, having spent nearly twenty years hating him as the man who stole Colin's job LOL.

I'm afraid I still tend to think of Five as a long intro for Six LOL. Peter Davison NOW I wouldn't say no to (rawr), but he was just too young and schoolboyish when he was Five. Also, the way he played Five was way too subtle for me. I loved him when he (literally) Hammed in Hitchhiker though.

I know that on the show, Six had the console blow up in his face, and as a result, he regenerated into Seven (which is kind of bad, because if it were that intense an explosion, there should've been a large chunk of the console MISSING)...
