I really like the quandary Jeeves is putting Bertie into with "would you force yourself on me?"--because of course Bertie's far too deeply honourable to do such a thing. *wibbles* Silly Jeeves. And of course I love the "tell me why you do this?" answer, and the tenderness of the forehead-kiss.

Quibble: "Heather" was extremely unusual as a first name - almost unheard of - till it exploded into popularity in the 1970s. I found it a little distracting here.

BTW, after reading the last installment I wandered over to your fic journal and was very impressed by some of your George/Melchett. Very glad to have you popping up here, but do continue with that series--I really want to know what happens after the last!
