Love! I'm hoping you still write their first time, or some time, in bed, but this was lovely. I enjoyed the references to their lovemaking. I also loved how Melchett tried to be self-sacrificing, but George is too staunchly loyal to allow that, and Melchett is too in love to keep it up. I particularly love that George's influence has made the old coot likeable, if not loveable. At least he's thinking about George, and keeping him out of trouble and safe instead of just himself. A vestige of that romanticism he had with Georgina? Hope you get back to this series soon.
